#47 - Bitchee Bitchee Ya Ya Ya - Tu Connais La Chanson

I presume, that art-students all over the world will go wild on that one. Let's see, if you can stand more than 60 seconds. I couldn't. Good choice to make your neighbour go crazy. If necessary.

#45 The Game - Beautiful Life

Somehow several album leftovers, that have not been used on "The Doctor's Advocate", found their way to the internet. Most of them are crappy indeed, but this one has potential.

#44 Billie Holiday - Glad To Be Unhappy (DJ Logic Remix)

The queen of jazz in a decent remix by NYC-based producer DJ Logic. Off from a new, yet untitled, Billie Holiday remix album.

#43 Adult Swim - Free Album

Adult Swim, sometimes rendered [adult swim] based on its logo, is the name for the adult-oriented television programming network. It shares channel space with Cartoon Network in the United States, featuring absurdist and often ribald comedy in contrast to the tamer daytime Cartoon Network. It also shows a substantial amount of Japanese anime, generally with minimal editing for content.

And their musical taste isn't bad at all, as this free download album proves. Featuring TV on the Radio, The Rapture, The Raveonettes and many more...

#41 Twista ft. Pharrell -Give It Up

#39 Perez Prado - Sexomania

Finally, summer arrived. Let the hormones go.

#38 Amerie - Some Like It

Ok: Amerie isn't the type of singer, you and i would expect on this blog. But Amerie sings over a backing track constructed from samples of Malcolm McClaren's World's Famous, taken from his seminal debut album Duck Rock. Produced by Trevor Horn, performed by him and his cohorts (who went on to become Art Of Noise), it is a prime slice of 1983 NYC flavored electro. Inspired choice of source material indeed.

#37 Radio-Active

As long as there is no radiostation available that really satisfies my needs, i have to do these quickmixes. Episode #1 contains songs, that haven't been heard in a while.

#36 Slept on Saturday - One Self

i know, it's not saturday. thanks for reminding me.

nevertheless, this is what the press said:

The Organically Grown LP is a melting pot of global inspiration, displaying One Self’s development since the debut album success, with songs that have been crafted on the road. From the upfront driving beats of Forwards Backwards, to the melodic remake of the classic 'jazz number, Caravan,' in collaboration with Black Ink and featuring Reggie Watts, these tracks exhibit One Self’s energy and vibe.

they are absolutely right.

#35 Beastie Boys - Off The Grid

If i hadn't told you, you wouldn't recognize them. True?

#34 The Cool Kids - Gold And A Pager

#33 Lauryn Hill - Lose Myself

There is a brand new Lauryn Hill song. That's the good news. The song is entitled “Lose Myself” and will be included on the official soundtrack for “Surf’s Up” - an animated motion picture. Movie and soundtrack will be released in June 2007. The bad news is: the movie title sounds as boring as the song. Damn, Lauryn! What happened?

#30 Edit: Amy Winehouse ft. Jay Z - Rehab (Remix)

this is actually the first time, that a jay-z feature really pisses me off.
give it a try, the song itself in indestructable...and if you compare his verse with pharoahe monch's 16 bars, we have a winner.

#29 Jaylib ReIssue

Stones Throw is set to release a deluxe double-CD reissue of Jaylib's underappreciated 2003 classic, Champion Sound, on June 12. Madlib hooked up a bunch of unreleased Jaylib remixes for disc two of the reissue, including this one:

Jaylib - The Mission (Stringed Out Remix)

Read the title backwards and it will all make sense.
