#150 Cocoa Tea - Barack Obama

Who's next? I'd love to hear a MOP-track. Or even better: "Lauryn Hill feat. DMX - Crush on Obama (What the Fuck?)". that would be great...

still have to find out who did the remix. until i do, i just keep it blastin' on my stereo.

#148 Dwele - I'm Cheatin'

#147 The Cool Kids - Action Figures

#145 Kid Sister - Beeper

Some Acts can't go wrong....

#144 Dr. Orlando Owoh & His Omimah Band - Ero Ki Yeye Mi

Orlando Owoh is a pretty big deal. Nigerian highlife is a pretty big deal. This tape enjoys that floaty highlife levitation thing but stays grounded with its ill battery of talking drums, etc. Juju refugees gone wild. Wayward highlife guitar meanderings jut out in the mix. It's all good. Watch out for calculated drum breaks toward the end of "Omiye Lala" and "Iyawo Olele."
This music on this tape was originally released in 1975, according to the meticulous Toshiya Endo.
Don't ask me why, but i really want to pursue my digging activities in the african sector..

#143 Porn Industry In State Of Shock

File under humor. Just in case you didn't get it anyway...

#142 Jneiro Jarel - Changes

Dr. Whodat? does it again. I'm waiting for the album. Desperately.

#139 Giles Peterson - In Brasil With Brahma

Well, uhm. This is not quite Brazil as you can see. Nevertheless, this is Giles Peterson's current podcast.
Highly recommended.

#138 The Moral Of The Story

Jonathan Haidt is an associate professor of psychology at the University of Virginia. He developed an easy to use test, on how your moral standards can be compared to the rest of the - unfortunately only - american population.

Registration required. Still pretty interesting.

Your Morals

#137 Holiday

Guess who's away..

#136 Redman & Biz Markie Freestyle (1990)

As Stretch Armstrong continously diggs in his archives, treasures like this reveal at once.
Forget the sound quality. It doesn't count.

#135 Jean Grae - Love Thirst

Still the best female rapper around. Period.

#134 Jay Electronica - When The Levies Broke

Keep an eye on that dude. First signing on Erykah Badu's label. Also watch out for the Giles Peterson Podcast with Jay Electronica. Worth a listen.

The notorious hipsters from Spank Rock take an aim at the best album of the year (so far). Mashup, folks.

#132 Madvillian - Accordian

Please note: the DIY-style will never get out of fashion.

#131 Del Tha Funky Homosapien - Bubble Pop

I wonder what keeps him into this industry. It can't be success. Nevertheless: something for the notorious, past loving backpacker.
